ALARMING RAILWAY ACCIDENT.

[Bv Telegraph.] Weleinotox, Sept. 11. News has just been received of an alarming accident on the AVclHngton - Feathcrstone line. A telegram received by the Government states that the Feathcrstone train was blown over at Liberia. Two carriages and the van were wrecked, and some of the passengers injured. It is not known how many. Assistance has been sent up, and full particulars arc being telegraphed for. LATER. The railway accident is causing great excitement in town, as generally on Saturday the train is more crowded than on other days. A special train taking medical assistance left here at noon. Later information from the scene of the disaster “shows that the carriage had a drop of 70 feet, the engine and tender remaining on the line. A later telegram received states that Miss Pharazyn, daughter of the well known stationownor at Wairarapa, was killed ; also two girls named Nicholas and Quinn. A large number have been injured, and it is feared that more arc killed than have been reported. The train was from Featherstone. Six adults who were badly injured have been taken to Greytown hospital. Two other children of Messrs Pharazon and Nicholas have been taken on to Fcathorstono. They are severely injured but arc expected to recover.
