MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office Timaru, for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : Thursday, Sept 9. For Northern Ports of New Zealand per TeAnau, at 6 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Wanaka, at 2.45 p.m. The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco, will close at Timaru on Saturday, September 11, and will be due in London, on Oct 26. From September 1 the following alterations will be made in the receipt and despatch of local mails: — Mails close at Timaru for Christchurch and intermediate offices daily at 6 a.m., 2.50, and 4 p.m. For Dunedin and intermediate offices daily, at 12.40 and 4 p.m. For Oamarn and intermediate offices daily at 6 a.m. Mails arrive at Timaru from Christchurch and intermediate offices daily 10.35 a.m., 12.55 and 8.20 p.m. From Dunedin and intermediate offices daily at 10.45 a.m. and 3.5 p.m. From Pleasant Point, Washdyke, and Albury at 11.20 a.m. (Signed) W.
