News comes to hand that a mutiny has broken out among the troops of the Khun of Khelat, in Bclooehistan, and orders have been given for a wing of one of the Highland regiments stationed at Cnetlali to proceed to the assistance of the Khan without delay. It has now transpired that the news received to-day regarding the mutiny among the troops of the Khan of Khelat is geatty exaggerated. Ayouto Khan Retreats. According to the latest news from Candahar, Ayouh Khan has withdrawn his force to a position eight miles to the west of the Citadel, and has thus virtually raised the seige. It is believed this is due to General Roberts’ advance towards Candahar. (Doubtful Rumors. London, August 27. The “ Standard ” this morning publishes telegrams reporting that serious defections arc taking place from the troops of the now Ameer, Abdul Hallman, in favor of Yakooh Khan’s party at Ghnznce, and of Ayouh Khan at Candahar. It is announced that no information has reached the Government regarding the reports published by the “ Standard” of defections from Abdul Hahman’s troops to the ranks of Yakooh Khan and Ayouh Khan. Home Rule Tactics. In the House of Commons last night, a Bill regulating the stowage of grain cargoes, was road a third time and passed. The House then proceeded to deal with the estimates, and on the vote for the Irish Constabulary being proposed, the Home Hole and other Irish members opposed it, on the ground of the military character of the constabulary force. A long and exciting debate followed, the Irish members vigorously obstructing the passing of the vote. The discussion lasted during the remainder of the sitting - , which did not close until noon to-day, when progress was reporic-d, and the House adjourned. The debate will he resumed on Monday next. j&cstrwctivD SSurricane. A telegram has been received to-day giving an account of a terrific hurricane which has passed over Jamaica, in the West Indies, and has caused great damage throughout the island. Thoussands arc rendered homeless, and are starving. In tho port of Kingston forty wrecks have occurred owing to the force of the storm. Royal Exhibits for KTalbourne. A report is current at Plymouth to-day that the troopship Serapis is to be litted up to convey the Prince and Princess of Wales to Melbourne, and that a detatchcd squadron ami the Bacchante will accompany their Koval Highnesses.
