On docking the ship Otago to-day it was found that in crossing the bar, when drawing 18ft Gin, she struck so heavily as to carry away completely 19ft forward and 16ft aft of her false keel. Missing. Fears are entertained for the safety of the cutter Fawn, which left the Heads on Tuesday on a fishing cruise and has not since been heard of.
