Mails close at the Chief Post Office Timaru, for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under : Saturday, August 21 For Northern Ports of New Zealand per Wanaka, at 2.45 p.m. Wednesday, August 25,
For the United Kingdom, via Brindisi, the Australian Colonies, India, China, Africa, the Continent of Europe, and the Mediterranean Poits, as follows: — Ordinary letters at 12 noon. Registered letters and money orders at 11 a.m.
Late fee letters at the Chief Post Office till 12.15, and at Ihe E.T.P.O. Mail Van, Southern Express Train, till 1.16 p.m. Correspondence intended to be forwarded by the above routes must be .specially addressed. The rate of postage for letters for the the United Kingdom via Brindisi, is eight pence per half once The European portion of the above mails will be duo in London on October 16. (Signed) W. W.
