At the wool sales to-day 10,1)00 bales were ottered, making a total of 175,000 bales since the opening. The tone of the market showed a better demand, and prices were firmly maintained. JX Gunpowder Plot. A report was current to-day that two barrels of gunpowder had been found in a railway tunnel under the Cork barracks but an enquiry proved the whole thing to be a hoax.
