[Reuter’s Agency.] Theßeigrn of Terror Begun. London, August 9. Several masked men shot Mr Boyd, Crown Solicitor, and his two sons yesterday, at Kilkenny. The former is dying, and one of his sons is in a precarious state. The other is slightly wounded. August 10. Mr Boyd’s son died from the effects of wounds received in the attack made by masked men at Kilkenny. Several arrests have taken place in the neighborhood in consequence of the murders. Greece Prepares for War. Athens, August 9. Extensive preparations arc being carried on by Greece. The European Powers acquiesce in the mobilization of the army. Turkish Movements. CoxsTA.vjTNOi'j.E, August 9. In consequence of the refusal on the part of the Albanians to cede Dulcigno, Hassem Pasha, with 2000 Turkish troops, lias been ordered to proceed thither, for the purpose of enforcing a surrender. August 10. The Turkish Government has resolved upon negotiating direct with the Great Powers in regard to the rectification of the Greek frontier. Bad News for Beaconslield. London, August 10. The Eight Hon Mr Gladstone has gone to Windsor Castle as a guest of the Queen. Trade Returns. The Board of Trade returns of imports for the past month amount to £33,375,000, showing an increase of £3,000,000 as compared with last year. The exports for the same period amount to £20,250,000, showing an increase of £3,500,000 as compared with the same period. Bank Dividend. The National Bank of New Zealand pay 3 per cent dividend for the halfyear.
