DISTRICT COURT.
TIMAIUJ—THIS DAY. (Before His Honor Judge Ward). CIVIL CASE. McLeish v. Meek, damages, £2OO ; Mr Jameson (instructed by Mr Haraersley) for plaintiff; Mr Hislop (Oamaru) for defendant. This case had been adjourned from last sitting of the Court, in consequence of Mr Hislop raising certain objections as to informality in the summoning of the jury. The jury was therefore then dismissed, without being cmpanncllod. and the case was adjourned until to-day in order that the points raised might bo argued. The question was argued this morning at considerable length, and ultimately His Honor directed another jury to be summoned for Sept. 1. IN BANKRUPTCY. He ,J. D. llogers, a debtor. Adjourned application by Mr Tosswill for an order of discharge. His Honor said he did not consider that the bankrupt was entitled to an immediate discharge. The order would be suspended for three months. Be John Connor, a debtor, application for an order of discharge. Mr Austin was to have appeared for applicant, but as he was not present, the application was adjourned. The Court then adjourned to August
