COMMERCIAL.
— MELBOURNE PRODUCE MARKET.
Under date July 21, Messrs J. H. Clough and Co. report;— Grafti.—This market exhibits more activity than when we last reported, and some good sales have been effected at improved rates Our sale to-day, at which we offered about 4,000 bags, was well attended. We quote:— Flour is selling more freely, and some good parcels have changed hands at from £9 2s Gd to £9 ss.
Wheat has improved, and we quote it from 4s to 4s sd, at which latter figure we quitted a parcel at.our sale to-day. There is at present a steady inquiry, and we have placed privately some large lines at prices varying from 3s BAd to 4s 3;V for medium to good milling samples. Barley is about the same as last given. Feeding has changed hands at from 2s 3Jd to 2s 6d. We placed malting at our sale to-day at 4s 2d. * . Oats are improving, p,nd we have to report placing a line of a thousand bags at from 2s 3d to 2s sd. Ordinary feeding are worth from 2s to 2s 2d.
