It is reported from Afghanistan that in consequence of the hostile attitude of Yakoub Ivhan’s adherents at Ghuznce the evacuation of Cabul by the British troops will probably now be deferred. The disaster to the British troops in Caudahar has caused a great sensation hero, and it is stated that at a Cabinet Council held yesterday, it was decided to despatch further troops to India as reinforcements for Afghanistan.
