MELBOURNE PRODUCE MARKET. Messrs J. H. Clough and Co., under date July 11, report : Wheat.—We quote prime up to about Is 3Jd at which figure sales have been made. Good to superior maj' be given at from 3s lid to Is 2d.
Bailey is still slow of sale. ■ Feeding has been quitted up to about 2s Bid. Inferior to medium malting from 3s to Is lid. Oats are in fair request. In feeding sales have been made at Is lid to 2s 2d. Wellington, July 28. Messrs Lacry and Campbell report as follows: —Oranges, 8s to 9s ; lemons, 11s to 12s ; Hobart Town apples, market bare ; no fresh butter ; eggs, Is 7d to Is lid ; fowls, 4s Gd to 4s 9d ; onions, 7s to 8s ; potatoes 55s to GOs ; cheese, 5d to G.Jd maize, 3s to 3s Cd ; bran, 74d; pollard, £5 10s; chick wheat, 2s to 3s 3d; Picton bloaters, 10 to 12; dried cod fish, Is per dozen. Dunkdix, July 28, Fat Cattle are in fair supply and demand. Good prime beef, 25s per 100 lb ; medium, 22s Gd ; fat sheep, merino, 7s 9d to 10s; crossbreds, 12s to 15s ; prime mutton, 2Jd per lb.
