Stout and Joynt appeared for the apfiellant, and Harper and Hanicrsey for respondent. After hearing argument, his Honor deterred his decision till he had consulted with his brother judges, as there was more difficulty in the matter than at first appeared. Suicide of a Chinaman. Dunedin, July 27, On the Bcantif.-il Star’s passage from Oamaru last night a Chinaman jumped overboard. A boat was immediately lowered but ho sank before the spot was reached.
