S. C. Times Office. Monday Evening. Messrs Jonas, Hart and Wildie report for the week ending : Fat Cattle are in fair supply, prices having a slight upward tendency. Our transactions for the week are 13 head at from £G 12s fid to £7 15s, giving an average of quite 25s per 1001 b. Store Cattle—The demand is good, and in consequence prices have improved. Steers and heifers. 3 to 4 years, £5 10s to £(i 17s (id ; do do, 10 months to 80 months, £4 5s to £5 os ; do do yearlings, £3 15s to £8 10s. Horses.—This market shows signs of improvement. 'The following prices were realised on Saturday;—Staunch heavy draughts, £33 to £4O ; medium do, £25 to £3O ; light do, £IG according to description. A plough team of three geldings of 4,5, and fi years, together with harness, realised £l2fi 12s. On Wednesday last we sold a team of four draught geldings, dray and harness, in the estate of John Stuart, deceased, for £lls sterling. Farm Produce.—Butter, Bd, !)d, Old and lOd per lb ; cheese, (id to Gld; hams and bacon 8d to Old ; potatoes, £2 10s to £3 5s per ton ; onions Id per lb ; Hour, £0 10s per ton ; fowls’ corn, 7s to 7s Gd per bag ; fowls 3s Gd to 4s Gd per couple ; fruit and forest trees, conifers, Ac., brought fair market rates. We sold on Saturday 300 sacks oats at from 2s (id to 3s per sack, which would give an average of about 9d jrcr bushel. The oats were fair feed, but stained.

Messrs William Collins and Co. report holding their regular weekly market and sale by auction on Saturday of farm produce and general merchandise. The attendance was good and buyers in abundance at the following figures, which, taken ail round, must bo deemed satisfactory to the vendors. Farmers Hour, £8 to £9 per ton; bran, 70s; sharps, 755; Derwent potatoes (a prime sample), 53s per ton; inferior, 395. In alt cases bags in. Oats, 400 bags were placed at 2s Gd per sack; fowl wheat, 4s per bag; barley, 3s; fresh butter, lOd per lb; salt, 7jfd; kegs extra; pork in carcase, 5d per lb ; hams, 7.1 dto Bhi 2)er lb ; bacon, none entered ; mutton hams, 3d to 4d per lb; honey, 3Ad to 4d per lb. Fowls, ducks, geese, and turkeys always command a ready sale. They also quitted during the day a quantity of drajiery, men’s and hoy’s clothing, bmshware, china and glass, furniture, and a huge quantity of sundries at satisfactory rates.

Messrs George Priest and Co. iqiort having held our first sale by auction to-day, when we had a good attendance taking into consideration that no auction sales had been hold in in the rooms the two previous Saturdays. Biddings were brisk for most lots offered, with the following results ; Flour (farmers’ lots), £9 per ton ; bran, 70s 23 er ton; sharps, 80s ]3er ton ; potatoes (derwent), 45s to 50s 23cr ton ; carrots, no demand ; fowl wheat, from 3s Gd to 9s per sack ; onions, Is 2)cr lb ; groceries and sundries, vendors’ reserves.
