DETERMINED SUICIDE.

[I!V TEDEORAIUI.] Dunedin, July IG. A suicide of a most determined character, occurred at the Queen’s Head Hotel, Princes street. Yesterday forenoon, George liussell, a butcher’s assistant, who had been lodging at the Hotel, was found dead in his bed. The bed clothes were covered with blood and hishcad was shattered. Noar the body was a rillc with which lie had evidently shot himself during the night. Strange to say, no report of firearms was hoard b}' any of the inmates, although the room in which belay was only separated from the others by a, canvas partition. It is supposed that deceased placed the muzzle of the gun in his mouth and this deadened the sound. No cause can be assigned for the act.
