Mails 'close at the Chief Post Office Timaru/for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under ; Thursday, July 15. Eor Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Tc Anau, at 6 a.rn. Saturday, July 17. Eor Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Ilawca.at 2.-15 p.m. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, America, West Indies, China and Japan v a San Francisco, and the Sandwich Islands as follows; — Money orders and registered letters at 1 p.m. Ordinary letters at 2 p.m. Late fee letters at the Chief Post-office till 2.30 p.m. and at the Railway Travelling Post-office Mail Van (Northern Express till 3.1 G p.m. The European portion of the above mails will be due in San Francisco on August 12, and London on August 31.
