[Eeuter’s Agexct.l The Elections. Meluouuxk, July 12. The excitement over the elections which take place on AVcducsday, is increasing. The Ministerialists arc confident of success. hSore Bushrang-ing - . Mr Hearue, Police Magistrate at Harrow, ou the Glenelg Elver, about “150 miles west of Melbourne, when returning from church at Harrow, was stopped by a gang under the leadership of a man named Ecilly, who threatened to shoot him unless he obtained a cheque. He was incarcerated with his family in a deserted hut. One of them escaped and gave an alarm. The police then arrived at the hut aud surrounded Ecilly, who refused to surrender aud threatened to shoot Mr Hearue. The gang has been arrested after waiting four hours without a shot being fired. Med Kelly has been brought up at the Police Court and again remanded.
