[Pee “Times” Special Wire.] Telegraphic Arrangements. Wellington, June 30. The Government have determined to close telegraph offices now open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 5 p.m., re-opening them for one hour at seven o’clock. Messages can thus be sent as late as at present, but those not despatched by 5 p.m. will have to wait till 7 p.m. Christchurch Criminal. CiiniSTCHURCir, June 30. The criminal calendar of the Supreme Court contains 17 cases, including burglary, infanticide, horse stealing, perjury, arson, and robbery with violence. Burned to death. Dunedin, June 30. At Wcalhcrston, a child named Martin was burned to death. Antimony Mining. Satisfactory accounts have been received at the shipment antimony to Melbourne from Waipori. Tramway Accident. Invercargill, June 30. A boy named Asher fell off a bush tramway engine, yesterday, and was severely injured. A Political Propliet. A friend of a Southland M.H.IL, apparently from information received,is giving large odds that a dissolution will take place in thirty days. The Philharmonic Society produce “ Ci’cation ” to-night. The Borough Council agreed to a loan of £20,000 tor street improvements.
