A fishing boat manned by three hands was capsized on Saturday night at eight o’clock while crossing the Otago bar .Pilot Kelly, with a boat’s crew, at once proceeded outside, and succeeded in rescuing aman named Joseph Renier, who was hanging on to the boat’s quarter in an exhausted condition. The other two men, whose names are Brown and Johnson, were, unfortunately, drowned before Captain Kelly could reach them. Brown was a man of color, and was formerly one of the crew' of the whaler Splendid.
