Mr Whitaker laid on the tabic the report of an inquiry into the volunteer misconduct of the Sate review at Christchurch, with all papers relative thereto. Colonel Brett said lie had important letters on the subject, which lie would place in members’ hands. The second reading of the Marriage with a Deceased Wife’s Sister Bill was carried bv 1(1 to 12 amidst cheers.
Mr Beters gave notice to introduce a Deceased Husband’s Brother Marriage Bill.
