Paddy Murphy, the rhymster of the “Saturday Advertiser” administers a dose of poetic consolation last week to the member for Eivei'ton —Mr P. McCaughan. Alluding to that members complaint of being left out of all the II oyal Commissions and Committees. The poet says: — Did they lave ye in the cowld, Pady dear, Paddy dear? Did they lave yc in ihe cowld, Paddy dear? Sure ye hadn’t got a say On a single comc-a-tay, Though ye tundhered agiust Grey, Paddy dear. Ye have sown an’ ye should raip, Paddy dear, Paddy dear. They have bought ye far too chaip, Paddy dear; Yer lovely Hallitc frinds^ Have work’d yc for their inds, Me complimints I sinds, Paddy dear.
