A total eclipse of the moon will take to-morrow night, commencing at 10.11) p.m. and ending at 0.53 a.m. on Wednesday.

The (settling up in connection with this meeting took place at the Grosvcnor Hotel on Saturday evening, when the following stakes wore paid over; —Mr P. Butler, .0112 10; Mr G. Thompson £3O; Mr >S. Raphael's star troupe of gymnasts and acrobats appear this evening in the Queen’s Hall. The troupe consists of male and female performers, and although the Company is a small one they are decidedly clever. Their programme for this evening should attract a good house.
