The Select Committee of the House of Commons, which was appointed to further consider the question which arose through Mr Bradlaugh’s refusal to take the oath, has presented its report to Parliament. The Committee recommends that Mr Eradlaugh should be allowed to make an admiration in place of the customary oath.

King George I. of Greece, who is now on a visit to England, was to-day presented with the freedom of the city of Loudon. H.E.lf. the Prince of Wales preformed the ceremony of presentation. The Eight Hon. W.E. Gladstone was present and made a speech on the occasion in which he said lie warmly sympathised with Greece in her difficulties with Turkey in regard to the frontier question.
