ST. MARY'S SCHOOL CONCERT

• —DAt concert, in, aid of (ho funds of (lie Si. Mary's Church Sunday School, took place last evening, in the Queen’s Hall, i hero was a very largo attendance, and Hie attractive programme presented, furnished a very pleasant evening’s amusement. This comprised a large number of songs which were all pleasingly rendered, as were the pianoforte duets (ll), and Hie violin solo.

Lucia di Lammcrmoor.” One of Hie most .successful items of tho evening was the recitation, by a gentleman, of a woii-kno-wn poem ofi'Mgar Allen L’ocm’s, “■ idle Dells,” which was remarkable lor the clever vocal imitation of “ Hie tolling of the bells,” introduced by the reciter. In response to an imperative encore, ho gave Tennyson's “ Charge of the Tight .brigade.” AirT. A. Gooch presided with much etiiciency at Use pianoforte during the evening. The entertainment altogether may be said to have been a great success, and should, result in a nice addition to the fund for which it was organised.
