The report that was recently circulated to the effect Unit Ayoub Khan was making war-like ’preparations to wrest Caudahar from the descendants of Shore Ali, is now confirmed. Latest intelligence from Afghanistan, however, slate that owing to defections from his supporters, Ayoub Khan’s movements have totally collapsed.

Confirmatory information lias been received that the Indian Government has offered the Amcership to Abdul Rahman. It is said that Abdul hesitates in consequence of the compulsorj’
retirement of the hostile tribes, and should Abdul Rahman decline Yakoob Khan will possibly be offered it.
