Stansell, PROGRAMME Start at 1 p.m.— Tally-Ho Handicap, of 100 soys. ; nomination, 2 soys, acceptance, 2 soys, with a sweep of 5 soys each for starters, amount accruing from sweep to go to second horse; distance, about 3 miles. 2 p.m.— Maiden Steeplechase, of 40 sovs ; nomination, 2 sovs ; weight for age ; distance, about 2L miles. 3 p.m.—Timaru Steeplechase Cup Handicap, of 50 sovs; nomination 1 sov, acceptance 1 sov, with a sweep of 2 sovs each for starters, amount accruing from sweep to go to the second horse ; weights to appear after the Tally-Ho has been run for; acceptance after the Maiden has been run ; distance, about about 21 miles. 4 p.m.— Consolation Handicap, of 30 sovs ; post entries. 2 sovs; distance, about 2 miles. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Nominations for the Tally-Ho Handicap not later than Friday, June Ith, 1880, at 8 p.m. Weights for ’ Tally-Fo Handicap, Saturday, June 12. Acceptances and General Entries, Tuesday, June 15, at 8 p.m. All entries and acceptances must be in scaled covers, addressed to tho Secretary, Grosvcnor Hotel, Timaru, and contain entrance money, sweepstake, qualification fee, description, age and name of horse, and colors to be worn by tho jockey. Qualification fee to be enclosed with the nomination, or the nomination will be invalid. In all Races, horses to qualify by jumping hurdle past judge’s box. Tho revised N.Z. Grand National Rules will be adhered to. No person to enter a horse unless he is a subscriber of 1 sov to the fund, and no person to nominate unless both owner ami nominator be subscribers of the same amount. In the event of any person entering a protest, the sum of ;L2 2s must bo lodged with the Secretary before such protest is considered, the sum to bo forfeited to the fund should tho Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. The decision of the Stewards to be final in all cases. Five per com will be deducted from the gross of all monies paid in accordance with the programme, for expenses; and when not otherwise specified, all entries and acceptances to go to the fund. J. R.
