CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.

A general meeting of the Chamber of Commerce was held this afternoon. Mr Scaly presided, and there was a good attendance of members. A report was submitted from the committee appointed to take action in reference to the valuation of land required for railway purposes, but it was resolved to allow the matter to stand over for the present. A sub-eommittcc, consisting of Messrs Sutter, Evans, Jonas, Chisholm, and Rutherford were appointed to act in conjunction with the other members re amendment of the bankruptcy laws, and to report thereon.
