RULES AND REGULATIONS. Nominations tor the Tally-Ho Handicap not later than Friday, June 4th, 1880, at 8 p.m. Weights for Tally-Ho Handicap, Saturday, June 12. Acceptances and General Entries, Tuesday, June 15, at 8 p.m. All entries and acceptances must be in sealed covers, addressed to the Secretary. Grosvonor Hotel, Timaru, and contain entrance money, sweepstake, qualification fee, description, age and name of horse, and colors to bo worn by the jockey. Qualification fee to be enclosed with the nomination, or the nomination will be invalid. In all Races, horses to qualify by jumping hurdle past judge’s box. The revised N.Z. Grand National Rules will be adhered to. No person to enter a horse unless ho is a subscriber of 1 sov to the fund, and no person to nominate unless both owner and nominator be subscribers of the same amount. In the event of any person entering a protest, the sum of £2 2s must be lodged with the Secretary before such protest is considered, the sum to be forfeited to the fund should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. The decision of the Stewards to be final in all cases. Five per ccn( will bo deducted from the gross of all monies paid in accordance with the programme, for expenses; and when not otherwise specified, all entries and acceptances to go'to the fund. J. R.
