MR ANDREWS AT CHRISTCHURCH.

Mr S. C. Andrews addressed a numerous meeting at the Academy of Music last evening. The Mayor was in tho chair. Mr Andrews spoke for an hour and a half. Ho briefly related the history of last session, and then went on to denounce the Pz-cmier for his abuse of Sir George Grey at Leoston, and the Ministry for their meanness in prying into telegrams, buying votes with public works, and removing taxation from largo estates in order to place it on food, clothing, arid personal property. The meeting passed a resolution declaring that the property tax should be repealed in favor of a land and income tax; and also passed a vote of thanks to, and confidence in, Mr Andrews. In response to loud cries, Mr Montgomery briefly addressed the meeting, and declared that Mr Macandrew was the leader of the Opposition and his leader.
