The Saturday Advertiser, in its last Issue, is responsible for tho following A leading photographer in Dunedin received tho following note, by last mail, from England:— “ Hornsey Wood, “February 11th, 1880. Dear Sir, —My dear second cousin, Samuel Brown, having come in for a heap of money, and not knowing his whereabouts in the Colony Victoria, province of New Zealand, I write to enquire if you have a negative of his foetoo, which he sent home about three years ago. The following are his partulars: — Samuel Brown, sft lOin high; slight stoop; prominent features; sporting appearance; sallow complexion; wart on his nose. Any information will be gladly received at the enclosed address Hornsby Wood, London.” The writer of the above would be an invaluable editor to the Hue and Cry Police Gazette. His knowledge of geography is only excelled by his apititude lor descriptive writing. If the knockknees do not “ fetch ” Samuel, the wart on his nose should be instrumental in in making the wished-for discovery.
