MR SEDDON AT HOKITIKA.

Mr Seddon addressed a crowded meeting of his constituents, at Hokitika on Tuesday evening, and received a vote of confidence. Mr Seddon admitted that financial measures had been neglected by the late Ministry, and that the present one was superior in administrative ability; but he also said that he should support at the present time a vote of noconfidence in the Hall administration. He belonged to the young New Zealand party, of which Mr DeLautour w’as leader; and if the party agreed to elect Sir George Grey as leader, he would bow to the majority, but he thought the choice of Sir George Grey would fix the Hall Government in power for a long time. Mr Seddon expressed his dislike to the property tax, and said that the Eegulatiou of Elections Bill has been thrown out by the act of the Opposition.
