[Pee "Times” Special Wiee.l ' Auckland Items. Auckland, May 20. Messrs Hamlyn and Harris addressed their constituents at Pukcko.hp last night, and received a vote of confidence, The Railway Commissioners held a formal sitting to-day, and in reply to Messrs Hamlyn and Harris, who urged the construction of a branch line of railway to Pukekohe and Waiuka, they agreed to receive a deputation. A volunteer reviewjjwill be held on the Queen’s Birthday. Several country corps have promised to be present. It will be preliminary to a grand review to take place on the Prince of Wales’ Birthday, -when corps from the Thames, Waikata, W hangarei and other parts will be present. Divorce Court. Wellington, May 20. At the Divorce Court, in tho case of Munro v. Munro and Clarke, an application by tho husband for a divorce a decree nisi was granted. • The Xand Tax. Summonses are being issued against property owners, for non-payment of the Land Tax. Flro at Waimate. Waimate, May 30. About two o’clock this morning a fire broke out in a smithy in Michael street, owned by D. R. Buckingham, and occupied by Fabling Bros., blacksmiths. Buckingham estimates his loss at £l5O. He was insured but the policy had lapsed. Fabling was uninsured, and estimates his loss at £IOO. The origin of the fire is unknown. Sale of Duns. . Dunedin, May 20. At the sale of the lease of certain runs to-day, Run 109, containing 10,400 acres, at Walherao, was sold for £2OO, to A. D. Bell ; and Run 109, B, 6,100 acres at Waiherao, for £2lO to the same person. The upset price of the latter was £IOO. All the other runs offered fetched tho upset price.
