Christchurch, This Day. Heaps of barley are offering during the last couple of clays, but there are no buyers. Fanners are asldng 2s fid to 3s for very ordinary samples. Wheat —Buyers arc not anxious owing to the scarcity of shipping. Quotations are 3s 6d to 3s Bd. Oats —The stores arc filled. Quotations, Is to Is 3d, according to sample. Cocksfoot is in fair demand at 2d to 2,Jd. Eye—A great deal of inferior seed is offering. Buyers will only give ls6d per bushel; well dressed will fetch 2s fid to 3s. Potatoes-will have to be pitted waiting for market. Small parcels of 20 tons have been sold for shipment coastwise at 27s fid to 30s. Latest advices from the other colonies are that Melbourne buyers are offering farmers £l2s fid per ton, delivered in store. In Sydney the selling price is £2 15s. .
