CHRISTCHURCH. [from our own correspondent.] The “ Sun ” newspaper was sold this morning to the proprietors of the “Echo” for £4OOO. Delivery was taken to-day. The Civil Service Commission to-day examined Mr Seager, steward of the Sunnyside Asylum, Mr Baker, chief surveyor, and Mr Harrop, Government storekeeper. Four quarter-acre sections at Sumner were sold to-day for £265. There is nothing doing in the grain trade.
