[Pee “Times” Special Wire.] The Waimate Hoads. Auckland, 25. —Considerable excitement was caused at the Oreld meeting to-day by the arrival of Ngapuhi Nagaru from Parihika. He says the roads will never meet, and that the climax will come on the plains. If the line of roads meet the Maoris will lose all faith in To Whiti. Sydney Tawhiowanga has bet Ngapuhi a horse that the roads will be made right through. Wharf Tolls. The right to lay tolls on the wharf was sold to-day for £152 per mouth. A Hailway Fraud. Thomas Hawkins, a clerk in the railway department, was charged at the Police Court to-day with the embezzlement of several sums of money, principally paid on the conveyance of parcels. The prisoner had nothing to say and he was committed for trial. End of an Immigrant. Honora Molloy, an immigrant, died of low fever at the Quarantine Station. A Pleasure Tour. The Lincolnshire delegates visit the north of Auckland. A special steamer is chartered to convey them. The Maori Parliament. Ouakei, March 25.—The Maori Parliament passed a strong resolution condemnatory of the Government for delaying the trial of the Taranaki prisoners. Hr Lemon in Hot Water. The “ Herald ” to-day freely attacks Dr Lemon for delay telegrams, and says he should work the ollicers night and day to clear oil: arrears. Land Dispute. Giseorne, March 25.—After a long investigation, extending over three weeks, judgment was given by Judge liaise in the case of the Waingarona Block No. 2. The investigation purely related to the question whether or not the Chief, Heuare, had a claim over the land. The Court confirmed the judgment originally given by Judge Eogan. Proceedings in Bankruptcy. Nelson, March 25. —At the District Court, Henry Davis, solicitor, having executed a deed of arrangement, was, on the petition of his creditors, adjudicated a bankrupt. In the matter of Hugh Jones, banker, late Westport, who was also adjudicated a bankrupt on his creditors’ petition, the proceeds were transferred to Westport. Floods in the Worth. Eketahuxa, March 22. —There has been a continual downpour since Friday morning. The country and rivers arc badly Hooded, especially the Eumahunga, and communication southward cut olf. The upper country and Maori settlement are completely Hooded. A punt has been washed away and is not yet secured. Serious damage has been done to the main road through laud slips. At the Scandinavian camp the road is submerged for miles, and a portion is believed to be washed away. Carcases of whole flocks of sheep, and a great number of horses and cattle, were seen floating down the river. March 2X.—The weather is slightly better, but the rain was steady all yesterday, with a high wind, which blew a quantity of timber! down across the roads. The wind has now fallen. The mail coach which was imprisoned here since Friday, made an attempt to proceed to Woodville to-day. Death of a Convict. Wellington, March 25. Frank Amour, oue of the hard-lahor gang, was killed this morning by a fall of earth while working at an excavation near the College. He was sentenced in October to twelve mouths for larceny. He leaves a wife and family.

Dunedin, March 25. —The Dunedin Medical Association has resolved —“that in the opinion of the Societ}”-, it is unprofessional and improper that any of its members should keep an open shop for the sale of Druggist’s sundries, and should advertise the rate of his fees.
