SALE OF CROWN LANDS.
The undermentioned Crown lands worn submitted to auction at the Volunteer Hall, TemnUa, yesterday, by John Marsh man, Commissioner of Crown Lands The attendance of buyers at this sale was not so numerous as at the last sale, which was held here some 12 months ago, and considering - the times, the bidding - was very dull indeed. For the greater portion of the rural lands not a bid was offered. In reference to the town sections of Arowhcnua, they wont off nearly all of them an the upset price, and the same may be said of the Oravi Township. Akowiiexua Township. Quarter-acre sections, upset price, £l2.
Or. Am Township— Block 3. Upset price, £7 10s quarter-acre.
After the town sections were sold, the rural lauds, being portions of the old railway reserves, situate between the rivers liangitata and Orari, were put up for cash. llcserve Xo. 819, Section 319. a. r. p. Upset price Price obtained.
Out of 39 lots in this sale there were were only six sold. The land on deferred payments were then put up with the following conditions —Purchase-money, payable by half-yearly instalments, extending overton years, without interest, and subject
to the conditions prescribed by the “ Laud Act, 1877,” relating to land on deferred payments. - Reserve 349, Sections 4, 11, 19, 28. a. r. p. Upset price Realised
