COMMERCIAL.
MELBOURNE PRODUCE MARKET. Under date, Melbourne March 3, J. H. Clough and Co reports:— Wheat as flour has been sold for more money than has recently been obtainable. Barley is only saleable at a considerable concession on late rates and feeding grains arc • in full supply with only a moderate demand. Wheat—Last week wc quoted 4s 8d as a top price, and this week that price about represents the vaM} of good milling samples. 4s lO.jtl has been touched. to-day, but this price can only be regarded as a fancy figure and not as a current value. We sold to-day 630 bags at prices a follow: —4s 2d and 4s 4d_forjnnutty and inferior, 4s 6d to 4s 8d for medium to good, and 4s 84d and 4s 9d for prime samples. Barley.—A further weakness in respect to this grain has been manifested,: and the greatest difficulty is experienced m making sales, except at prices that show a reduction in recent rates. We . sold to-day 205 bags fair malting at 5s 2d, and quote feeding 2s 4d tp 2s 7d ; malting, 4s 6d to 5s 3d.
