[I! EUTEIi’.S AIi ENCY.] Tile British Parliament. London, March 12. — In the House of Commons to-day the Chancellor of the Exchequer delivered his Budget speech. In the course of it he showed that the revenue for the past financial year amounted to £80,060,000, and the expenditure to £81,210,000. He estimated the revenue for the ensuing financial 3 r car at £81,560,000, and (he expenditure at £81,485,000. To meet past deficiences, £6,000,000 of Exchequer Bills will be converted into terminable annuities. There will be no increase of taxation. A Chinese Carnival. Information has been received from Shanghai that a serious revolt of Chinese at Pekin has taken place. Chiug How, a high Chinese official, has been beheaded by the rebels. The Batest Convert. March 13.—The Hon Mr Gladstone, in a speech delivered at Marylehonc, said he behoved that Earl Derby would henceforth be associated with the Liberal party.
