Clarence made the running but fell at the last hurdle. Grey Mourns looked formidable but his rider fell off half a mile from home. When Clarence fell, Tc Whetu had no difficulty in stalling off and rushed past Matu. Time —-Enins. 4-l.jj- secs. The betting was in favor of Momus and Clarence. Sauntcrer made the running, with My Dream and Rocket close up, On entering the straight Rocket closed on Sannterer, and they ran a desperate race up the straight, Rocket winning by a short head. My Dream was a good third. Time —2min. 3] secs. Sapling Starks of GO sovs, three-quarters of a mile. Sincerity .. .. .. .. .. 1 Lotliair .. .. .. .. .. 2 Falcon .. .. .. .. .. 3 Three others started.
