[Heuter’s Agency - .] The Victorian Elections. Meehouune, March I.—The “Argus” to-day states that the Opposition have a majority of ten. The “ Age ” publishes a return showing a majority of twelve for the Opposition. The latter journal, in a leading article in this morning’s issue, referring to the elections, blames Mr Perry for the defeat of the Liberal party in Victoria. The Hon. Graham Berry resigns tomorrow, and recommends the Governor to send for Mr Service to form a new Ministry. He will make no fresh appointments. It is generally believcdl that the Opposition will obtain at Icastt a majority of twelve.

In the election contest Sir Bryan O’Lougblin and Mr Munro have been defeated. The Hon. Graham Berry tops the poll at Geelong by a small majority. Mr Service was returned for Maldon. The Opposition gained all the seats for the Melbourne suburbs. The excitement is very great. Professor Pearson and all the members of the Ministry, except O’Loughliu, have been returned. Messrs Casey,. L. Smith, and Dickson, have been defeated. Sir Bryan O’Loughlin, AttorneyGeneral, was defeated at West Melbourne, and Mr Munro, leader of the-counter-party, was defeated by Mr Gardiner, the popular captain of theCarlton Football Club, but unknown as a politician. JNo disturbances occurred.-
