CRICKET.

TIMARU CRICKET CLUB. The match Married v. Single, will be continued to-morrow at 2 o’clock sharp, when we hope to see the members roll up with a little more than their customary punctuality. Matches with Christchurch and Ashburton being on the tapis, our local players can not have too much practice seeing they, are likely to find “ Foeraen worthy of their steel.” It is to be hoped there will be no repetition of the result of last year’s match with Christchurch and that the members will practice most assiduously and endeavor to uphold the very respectable position that the Timaru Cricket Club now holds in New Zealand. We have been informed that an express will start from the Bank of New Zealand corner at a quarter to two o’clock.
