MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post office, Timaru, for the following places (subject to the necessary alteration), as under : Wednesday, Fed 11.
For Northern Ports of New Zealand, New South Wales and Queensland, per Rotorua, at 4.15 p.m. Saturday, Feb 14.
For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Penguin, at 2.10 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12. For the United Kingdom, via Colombo and Brindisi, the Australian colonies, India, Africa, China, Continent of Europe, and the Mediterranean ports, at 12.45 a.m. For money orders and registered letters, at 11.45 a.m.
Late fee letters, bearing one additional rate per letter, will be received at the Chief Post Office till 1 p.m., at the Railway Travelling Post Office Mail Van (Southern express train), till 1.21 j)- 111 - N.B.—The mail via Southampton, has been discontinued, and all correspondence intended to be forwarded by the above route must be specially addressed.
