PEDIGREE AS UNDER: Bred by Mrs Miller, West Taieri; out of Kate (imported), by Emperor, out of Kate (imported). Emperor has gained six prizes. Emperor’s sire, Napolcan, out of Nancy (imported); Nancy is by the celebrated Garncy Horse, dam Scotsman. Nancy as a thrcc-ycar-old gained four First and Second Prizes in Scotlarrd; and as a four-year old gained similar honors at Glasgow and Killeridc, Scotland. Conqueror took First Prize as a two-year-old at Blueskin show, and Second Prize for All Comers and Aged Horses at the same place. As a three-year-old at Onrrraru ho gained Second Prize in a field of nine entries. The Auctioneers have the following remarks to call the public attention to in regard to the sale of the above, namely, by the pedigree it is evident that Conqueror is a true-bred Clydesdale, he is only six years old, and stands Hi hands 8 inches is of great bone and muscular power, and has splendid action. He has been serving mares in the Timaru district during the last two years, has left splendid stock, proved himself a sure foal-getter, and he is an extremely popular horse throughout the district. His present owner, Mr James Gibson, Saltwater Creek, is only parting with him on account of his intention of attending to his hotel business only.
