TEMUKA—THIS DAY, [Before F. Guinness, Esq., K.M.] PUGILISTS. Barnard Toner, for creating - a breach
of the peace at Terauka on the previous evening was fined 20s and costs. John’Marhiki, for a similar offence, was fined in a little amount. SHOOTING WITH INTENT. Thomas Dawber was charged with shooting a man who was robbing Mr Wheclband’s orchard. As the injured man was unable to attend, the case was adjourned for seven days. threatening language. Richard Williams was charged with using threatening language towards Timothy Murphy and his wife, who asked that dependent should he bound over to keep the peace. The evidence was conflicting, and the case was settled by both parties being bound over in £2O, to keep the peace for six months. civil cases. Napier v. B- Thompson, claim £l4 7s Gd. This was an adjourned case, and judgment was now given for £6 7s, and costs.
