[Keutee’s Agency.] Fortnightly Malls. London, Jan. .22.—The fortnightly service of the Orient Steamship Company’s steamers to the colonies; commences with the departure of the Chimborazo on the 7th Feb. In future the Orient Company’s steamers will carry mails either to or from Australian ports. Meeting of Home Rulers. A large meeting of Home Kulers has been held at which, on the motion of the O’Donoghue, a votebf sympathy was passed with their intense distress and their resistance to the landlords. A resolution was adopted at the same meeting binding the Home Kulers to maintain an iudepeudant attitude in Parliament. Cabal Surrounded. The “Daily News” to-day publishes a telegram from Afghanistan stating that Mahomed Jan has gathered a large force, and is now threatening the British positions in and around Cabul.
