To introdpeq as few alterations as possible' into the text of the Authorized Version consistently with faithfulness, 2. Each Company to go twice over the portion to be revised —once provisionally, the second timeifinally. '4. The;text to he adopted to *bc that for which evidence is decidedly preponderating, and- that ■when the text so adopted differs from thait from which the Authorised Ver- ■ sjon r was made, thg, alteration r dated in ! tlie margin. *5. ' To make no change in the'the; text pn,the-second final revision of each Company, excejff two thirds of those present approve of the same but on the first revision to •decide by simple majorities.
