I HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that on Thursday, the Twenty-second day of January, 1880, a POLL of the Burgesses will be taken at the TOWN HALL, Timaru on the the proposal of the Council of the Borough of Timaru to raise the sum of £OO,OOO, by way of Special Loan, for the purpose of constructing Waterworks for supplying the Borough of Timaru with water. Such sura to be secured upon the Waterworks, and the interest on a Rate of One Shilling in the Pound Sterling, upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the said Borough, and a Water Rate authorised to be made under the provisions of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1876. In lieu of the Poll advertised to be taken on the above proposal on Friday, the sixteenth day of January, 1880.
