[Reuter’s A«ency.] A Burlesque Prohibited. Melbourne, Jan 15. — The chief Secretary has prohibited the production at the Academy of Music of a political burlesque entitled “ Happy Land,” wherein it was intended to represent Messrs Berry, Longmore, and Smith. The other characters were Gladstone and Lowe. A Family Disruption. The Bank of New South Wales has given notice of withdrawal from the agreement with the other Banks respecting the rate of interest. Contributions for the Sick Large subscriptions are coming in towards the Irish Relief Fund. The Strathleven has arrived at Suez. The meat was in splendid condition. Damaged Wool. Sydney, Jan. 15.—A quantity of wool has been damaged in the Scottish Enight. The vessel will probably be floated, and come on to Sydney for repairs. Sailed—Albion.
