CRICKET.

ENGLAND V. THE COLONIES.

This match which took place on the Caledonian grounds, Dunedin, yesterday, was prematurely terminated. England went first to the wickets, and made 75 runs, Spring and Ashby being the only ones who succeeded in making anything of a stand against the bowling of McLennan and Frith. At a quarter to four o’clock, a drizzling rain commenced, which stopped the play. The Colonies started their innings, and had lost 3 wickets for 45 runs.
