St. Alban’s stable not having declared whether they will win with First King, Pctrea, or Avernus, there is consequently little speculation. Results of Protection. The Melbourne imports and exports for last year show an aggregate falling off of over three millions compared with the previous year. [This means that three millions of money which would have been drained from the colony to feed manufactures abroad, have gone into the pockets of the colonial manufacturers and artisans.]
