MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Timaru for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under: — Tomorrow, Dec. 9. For Northern ports of New Zealand, per Waitahi, at 6 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11. For Northern ports of New Zealand, per Arawata, at 6 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12. For Northern ports of New Zealand, per Wakatipu, at 6 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13. For Northern ports of New Zealand, per Hawea, at 1.50 p.m. The next mail for the United Kingdom via Brindisi and via Southampton (foxletters specially adressed for either of these routes only), will be closed at Timaru on Dec. 17.
